TOP BREED CAMELS SHINE ATTAFF CONSERVATION AUCTION

On the sidelines of Al Marmoum Heritage Festival Finale 2019 activities, and under the supervision of Dubai Camel Racing Club (DCRC) the Attaf f Conservation Auction for Fattameen “Camels under the age of two” was organized on Monday evening, April 8, 2019, at the Dubai Camel Racing Track Grandstand. The auction activities had witnessed huge attendance and acquired enormous achievements, and also succeeded in attracting a large number of bidders from the UAE and from the GCC countries as well.

The auction witnessed 45 camels of “Abkar” the she-camels and “Jeadan he – camels went under the hammer, many of them descended from ones of the UAE's most prized racetrack winners, i.e.; “Al Tuwlilie Al Asifa  “ Al Ghazal Al Asifa” and others camels  with prominent pedigree  and of high-quality breeds. In the final day, the auction had been a superb success and the sales showed a smashing gaining.

On the other hand, the Attaf Conservation is well known by its rich progenies in racing camel, owned by  His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

 

AL WASMI REPRODUCTIVE TOPPED THE AUCTION

The top bid paid on the auction, received from Fayez Ghafan Al Jabri, for a reproductive female –camel, daughter of “Al Wasmi ” and from the mother “Bint Meysaihan” who was auctioned for AED 220,000,00.

The second high bid went to another reproductive she-camel, daughter of  Bint Mishgil  “Al Mukhtabar Sewaihan “ from the mother “ Ghada “ who was auctioned for AED 180,000,00 paid by  Amer Saeed Rashid Al Madhoushi.

Mohammed  Seaad Al Shamsi, paid AED 150,000,00  as the third high bid, when he purchased the reproductive he - camel son of  Majd ” “Al Mukhtabar Sewaihan “and from the mother “Bahja”.

OBJECTIVES

The auction for racing camels is meant to highlight the historical, social, cultural and economic importance of these animals in the Arab world. The aim behind organizing camel auctions is to help with cultural preservation and sustainability of camel, and also to improve the original feature of purebred camels.
