HHC ACTIVITIES ... ARE
BACK
REGISTRATION OPENS FOR
TRAINING ON THE CAMEL TREK
AND CAMEL MARATHON FOR
EXPATS
Under the directive of
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of
Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage
Center (HHC) has announced that registration is now open for camel training in
its two designated activities; that include the HHC’s popular annual Camel Trek
as it prepares for its seventh edition and the second event is the Camel Trek
Marathon for Expats, which showed debut last February.
No prior experience is
required. The training will teach participants to learn the basics of camel
riding and taking care of a dromedary. They will also learn how to maintain
physical balance during the long desert trek.
The HHC has dedicated a
number of activities to sustain camels, as they remain a symbol of culture in
the UAE in particular, and the rest of the region in general. As a result, the
Center camel’s activities have increased in the past few years, catering to the
constant demand by nationals and expatriates.
Hind Bin Demaithan Al
Qemzi, Director of Events Management at HHC said,
“Registration is now
equally open for training to UAE nationals and expatriates. We have
dedicated an online registration to HHC’s website. The number of willing
participants and their choice allows us to plan ahead, and assign dedicated
trainers”.
“The Camel Trek Marathon
for expatriates, which is going to take place coinciding with the Dubai Crown
Prince Annual Camel Racing Festival during February 2021, and comes within a framework of achieving the center's goals aimed at consolidating the country's
rich cultural heritage and the values of tolerance, among a large number of
nationalities.” Hind added.
